St John’s has a rich musical tradition with many opportunities
CHOIRS
THE NEW MUSIC TEAM welcomes youth and wanna-be singers to gather around the piano in the sanctuary from 9:55 – 10:15 each Sunday. We learn new songs, sing favorites, and take time to talk about the texts and what they mean to us. We sing each week for worship.
CHANCEL CHOIR welcomes youth and adult singers wishing to take a leadership role in worship through music and share their gift of music. We sing a wide variety of four-part repertoire, including spirituals, gospel, chant, Taize, global, and more. The Chancel Choir sings Sundays at the 10:30 a.m. worship service from September through Pentecost, and rehearses Thursdays at 7:15 - 8:30 pm, and Sundays 9:45-10:00 a.m.
MESSIAH FESTIVE CHOIR
St. John’s has a tradition of singing the Christmas portion of Handel’s Messiah (Part 1) and Hallelujah Chorus as preparation for the coming of the Christ Child. Guest singers are welcome! Please register in advance (form below) to sing in the MESSIAH FESTIVE CHOIR.

Solos, duets, quartets, quintet and brass choir arrangements are all in our repertoire. Timpanist needed. We have the timpani. New members welcome!
